What do I do with my images? :: Oklahoma Photographer

Fall is coming to an end and winter season is here. You scrambled to purchase and book a session before everything got busy with holidays. You made sure you have images for cards and Christmas gifts and to document the season of your beautiful growing family. BUT what in the world do you actually do once you receive those desperately needed digital images?

Let’s be real! We are in a digital age and we all think everything needs to be backed up or stored on some electronic devices of some sort. I confess, I feel I do need to back up things but I do not only for myself personal but in my photography as well to make sure I am able to provide you a product and work to keep them safe until delivery. BUT guess what?! Digital images can be lost, stolen, or destroyed in some ways similar to physical products. They also are not revisited or are forgotten in the huge storage of files on your slow computer that is literally about to crash and burn! What happen is if you computer does crash?! They are lost FOREVER… FOREVER!! ((Yes I am saying FOREVER like Squints' in Sandlot))

So why not invest in a physical product as well! Show off that session investment, show off your family and memory!! You literally put a lot of work and money into your session, prepping the family including bribes for the children and significant other with candy and treats!! Print those darn pictures and show off the hard work.

No this is not the only reason why you should print. Warm your home with love and smiles! Boost your little ones confidence and giggle with them as they remember how mom and dad said silly things and gave them tickles with hugs and kisses!!! Show off your growing family on the wall to visitors including family members who absolutely love seeing new seasons and old seasons! They are able to see your family growth and your able to remember those moments when time does pass way to fast!

Here is a list of my favorite and most popular products. ((I personally have these in my home!))

Prints- This is the oldest and most popular. They are easy to store and display all at the same time. You can put them in a frame as well as change them out every year with new updated images while keeping them in a photo box for storage to pull back out years later to look through with smiles and love. They come in many sizes and paper. These are also great to gifts for family and friends.

Canvas- This is my #1 choice!! Canvas prints are printed on canvas and stretched over a framed them mounted for display. They can be large or small! I have several 24x36 canvas displayed in my home. I update my family one in the living room every year with our new family fall photo. This is a habit that I plan to continue for years to come. They are classic and clean!

Metal prints- NEW and fun!! Images are printed on a metal service creating a crisp and clean making a perfect industrial look (especially in black and white)! These as well can be displayed as small statement pieces or large.

Albums- Book of images that are great for remembering and period of time or collection of images that are unforgettable. Weddings and events are most common but I feel creating an album after a family session is a great way to display and remember all the wonderful images that were captured. This is great for a coffee table book!

There are many ways to print and display your images after a session. Your photographer can help guide you in creating perfect wall pieces and displays. They can also help explain the importance of selecting print labs. Most have their own personal favorites and can print for you.
